Poetry in the Eisteddfod

The activity has been written to the specifications of WJEC GCSEs of Iaith a Llenyddiaeth Gymraeg, English Language and Literacy, and Design and Technology (from 2026).

Explore and critically analyse war poetry, using reflections to author a poem about conflict. Consider Bardic Chairs through historical images and design a chair inspired by the local environment. Build and evaluate a prototype, considering sustainability and environmental responsibilities.
